Every year we take time to give back to communities in need. It’s part of who we are as a company and has always been something we look forward to. Our charity projects are a way to do something small for families and communities and it’s never been about the press.
Recently, we were surprised and honored to receive an award for our most recent charity project in the Dominican Republic. Fluent Home was named the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year – At Organizations With Up to 2,500 Employees category in The 14th Annual American Business Awards.
The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
More than 250 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners. Here’s what some of the judges had to say about Fluent’s project:
“It is not always possible to find time to make such F2F impact within a community. The planning for this campaign’s success, the involvement of your partners, and the logistics of coordinating the on-site cooperation with the DR government/community was a lot to pull-off. Job well done.”
“This is an excellent example of a company taking on CSR effectively, bringing together their company’s value proposition with a socially responsible initiative that improves the environment in which children learn in the Dominican Republic. On top of that, their video hammers that home and paints the picture (puns intended). Outstanding, Fluent!”

We are grateful to be recognized for our charity efforts and our sincere hope is that it will inspire more people to find their own way of giving back and helping those in need.[:]
